Who is Elwood Scott?

A question asked by dozens.

When asked about his writing style, Elwood often describes himself as ‘Bored unless constantly challenged’ (in preference to – ‘Has a short attention span and tends to distract others’).

As a result, he enjoys the challenge of moving around genres, from humorous short stories, to science fiction, horror, business satire and even some non-fiction, which can keep his reader’s on their toes.

Elwood got his first ‘break’ doing radio comedy, before progressing to making half-arsed short films. After his first article was published, he quickly realised writing required a lot less effort film-making, and has been churning out words on pages ever since. He’s published over a hundred articles and stories, and currently has three books out in the wild.

He spent (too) many years working in corporate environments, accumulating over 20 years experience in the learning and development field, where he could often be found running team building, or writing courses, when he wasn’t doing fancy and important ‘Business Consulting’ things.

He also co-hosts a comedy/lifestyle podcast – What’s My Age Again? With CJ and Scott, (oddly, he’s CJ, not Scott).

He lives in Melbourne Australia, has a day job in cyber security, is occasionally distracted by his professionally disinterested cat – Captain Chaos, and doesn’t usually talk about himself in the third-person.
